Welcome
Hello, I am Pastor & Chaplain Coordinator Rev. Skip Lewis. It is my desire to be able to speak to, and support, the hundreds of volunteers that serve as Pastors, Chaplain/Pastors, Chaplain assistants, and Ministers that help us to reach our goal of Spiritual Care in our facility our community, and across our nation. This site is designed to aid both the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center Chaplains and The Heart of Florida Coalition of Christian Churches as we serve God here in the "Heart of Florida". We hope this web site will give you guidance and direction, and help supply you with resources that will help you as you serve our patients, their families and our staff, as well as your congregation. The site will also give you the information you need to advance your personal education, enabling you to better serve your church. Please take a few minutes and go through the site so that you can see the resources for printed material, supplies, continuing education, up coming events, as well as testimonies from all around the nation from our people serving in the field. | Helping Hands a ministry of HOF Chaplains under the direction of Carol Casey |
Sometimes we just need a little help with picking up groceries or a prescription. Other times we could use a friendly visit or a listening ear, a ride to the Doctor's office or the bank, or treatment of some sort. Groceries or a visit, we have hands to help. To make sure you have your medication, and a ride to get you where you need to go That's when Helping Hands can be there. We will also be glad to get you a ride to your church or, if you don't have a church home, we would be glad to invite you to come with us. There comes a time in each of our lives when trouble or difficulties seem to gang up on us. When this happens, when life gets hard, we find the creative way to help you handle things. We are here to help and encourage, assist and give aid where it is needed. We do what we do, not for ourselves, but for Him whose name we come in. Jesus said,"whatever you do to one of these, you do unto me." There is no charge for our assistance. We do what we can do in the name of the Lord. Currently Heart of Florida Helping Hands are serving only in Polk County along the Highway 27 corridor Davenport, Haines City, Dundee, Lake Wales, and the eastern side of Winter Haven "We are here to assist you.
